Happy New Year! Although some use this time for something new in their lives, I have never been one to start a new beginning on January 1^st.  When I look at the word “resolutions” I think of resolving something or breaking free of what is no longer serving me.  Many have said that 2009 will go down in history for the year of great change but with change comes uncertainty and fear.  I like to think of 2009 as a stepping-stone of great change for mankind but in a positive way.  Sure I could go on about the bad days that made me want to curl up and shut out the world but I have learned to use those so-called “bad” days for inspiration because I know something “good” is opening up in my life.  I have learned that what you are experiencing is temporary whether it’s “good” or “bad”. So stop calling it one thing or the other, and simply embrace it as what’s happening now. You’ll move through it all much more peacefully. And one day you’ll call it all “good”.

I want to share with you the changes that I’m undergoing and making with Awaken Your Space and myself.  Keep in mind that these changes did not happen over night such as a New Year’s Resolution but rather over the last year.  I have been giving much thought to the services that we provide to clients and have decided to start outsourcing the services to other consultants throughout the United States.  If you are in the decorating, organizing, or feng shui consulting business and would like to grow your client base plus provide your clients with products at a discounted rate or commission please contact us. One thing I learned in 2009 is that the term “competition” has turned into “collaboration” and it’s all about serving others. I will still provide services to local clients however if you have a family member or a friend that lives in another area we will be able to direct you to a consultant in your area. I released the first mini book in the Live Your Intention series in 2009, which brings me to the questioning of “Why are you outsourcing services?”  This will give me more time to work on the Live Your Intention series that I’m passionate about.  My intentions are to share these mini book series with you in a way that brings you closer to the natural elements around you while also bringing you closer to your life’s intentional calling.  In the past, I have offered the Live Your Intention workshops that have brought me great joy and they have been the building block of the future Live Your Intention Home Study Course.  This will work in conjunction with the Live Your Intention mini book series. This month I will begin a 21 Day Consciousness Cleanse with Debbie Ford.  My intention is that 2010 will be the most magnificent, inspiring, and joyful year of my life. This year I’m giving myself the gift of a spiritual renewal, emotional transformation, and reconnecting to my soul’s intentional life purpose. Last year I went through many changes and while most were filled with great joy I was also filled with great sorrow too. One thing that really helped me through the struggles was my own inner journeys through the Live Your Intention workshops and mini book series.  It’s true that we can make the change that we want to see in the world and it’s through our own inner knowing that we can make this possible. I’m here to tell you that I’m committed to supporting you in the coming months and years. I want to share the depths of my soul so that you may then understand that we all can fall, we all can trip, and we all can stumble down that mountain. Over the past few nights Ganesha has been in my dreams.  The first night was a very vivid long dream. It was as if I was viewing a movie and what I saw was a woman walking amongst large rock formations that were around water. The woman had long flowing hair and was naked. She came around one of the rock formations to a floating rock where she was face to face with an elephant. They both went around the rock formation when suddenly I see a small person come back around to the entrance but it had the head of an elephant. It suddenly morphed into the rocks as if someone had traced the picture into the stone.  Then I find myself sitting in a seat facing a person that is telling me he is Hindu and that he picked me to tell me of his culture. He continues to tell me that each of us are selected at a certain time in our life to connect with a higher being so that we may share stories with others. I sit and listen but without judgment, only listening and walking away with what serves me. He tells me that the gods are making themselves visible to others and that we should not feel fear but love. 

Upon waking up, I recall learning about an elephant god years ago during my feng shui training but I do not remember the name or for that matter much about the god.  I then post this on Facebook to see what my intuitive friends think about this dream. “For my intuitive facebook friends: What does it mean when Ganesha is in a dream?” Andrea de Michaelis: “Ganesh is the remover of all obstacles, very auspicious to dream of him. In Hindu tradition, when you do your daily puja, your first prayer is always to Ganesha.” Robert Shakti Das Brodie: “Something good is about to happen.” Lisa Zimmer Mahoney: “An accelerated opening in your evolution to your receiving great blessings! Manifesting should be much more powerful and rewarding! Congrats on your connection!”

After reading Andrea’s reply, I recall a Biofeedback session I was undergoing in 2004. The consultant told me that my energy field was asking for Hindu information. I never really understood why because I was not doing any Hindu research but I accepted the information and went on my way.  My curiosity is really stirring after reading the replies so I started doing some research about Ganesha online and was quite amazed at the synchronicity with my dream. We do have an online store where we sell a few Ganesha items but I have not used these much in my feng shui practice, only when clients ask for it. What’s more interesting to me is that over the past few months I have committed to my intentions of breaking through obstacles this year. With Ganesha entering into my dreams this confirms to me that although my intentions are to break through obstacles that I must also not fear the obstacles that cross my life’s path.
