Day 14 of the 21 Day Consciousness Cleanse is about the power of truth.  What is truth?  According to Debbie Ford truth is living in the light of a new day with an unimaginable and unpredictable future.  Truth comes from your heart and the highest source, not your head or ego.  Truth is when you are honest about your life as in this day.  Debbie Ford goes on to say that you must be honest about the good, bad, what works or doesn't work.  It's in this honesty that you can live for your highest good.  When you lie about something you are trapping yourself to the past and basically scaring the soul.  This leaves dark deep experiences that fills the head with bad experiences.  It's when you are totally committed to standing in the light of truth that sets your soul free.

Debbie Ford tells us that we are confronted each day with old habits and patterns that are not necessarily true.  Going about our daily routines of life that can be busy is when our old thought patterns can creep up on us unexpectedly.  It can take months or years for an old habit or pattern to subside to a new level of consciousness. 

There is a passage in Debbie's book that stands out for me.  "Often you don't tell the truth, and don't even know you're telling the truth, because you have agreements with other people that cause you to sell your soul rather than honor the light within."  What is sad about this passage are those that do live their entire lives in the unjust truth of others.  No matter how much it hurts to see someone you love live this way you cannot own their story.  Debbie states that laziness is the reason that so many slide back into old patterns.  You may feel you can't do it alone, or you don't need help or support.  Debbie leads us into a sacred contract with our highest self to break free from the lower self of the ego.

Cleansing Ritual by Debbie Ford

• Make a list of the things that you are still denying such as an addictive behavior or where you are living in a smaller expression of your soul's truth.
• Make a list of excuses, rationalizations, justifications, and stories about why you have not been able to change this area of your life.
• Make an agreement for each area or pattern as it is now, such as, "I promise to never be more successful than my mother, or I promise to always maintain the lie that money is the root of all evil".   Then ask write down what agreements that are keeping you stuck in the past and still showing up in the present.
• Write "Null, Void, Canceled, Declined" at the top and sign your name to those written agreement. 
• Write out new agreements that bring success into your life.  Sign this agreement.
• Choose which agreement you want to live by and shred or rip the other agreement into little pieces.  Take outside of the home and throw them away. 
• Smile, breathe deeply, and send yourself some extra loving!  Then read the agreement every day for one month.

My intention: Speak the truth from deep within my soul.
